BUILDING PHYSICS 

We specialise in building modelling tools such as computational fluid dynamics and dynamic thermal modelling which enable us to assess daylight, CO2 emissions overheating and comfort levels within buildings. 

Our LCEA and OCDEA assessors provide high quality Domestic and Non-Domestic energy performance certificates (EPC's) SAP’s and SBEM calculations for compliance with Part L of the building regulations.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE

We deliver passive design strategies that provide real carbon and energy savings without compromising occupancy comfort.
We utilise a range of advanced computational modelling techniques. Our extensive experience in building physics allow us to assess the requirements to optimise building design to ensure high levels of natural daylight while achieving comfortable internal conditions through natural ventilation, efficient facade design, optimised orientation and site position. 

WIND ASSESSMENT

We provide specialist consultancy service in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), heat transfer analysis, airflow and
contamination dispersion in both internal and external environments. Our specialist team of CFD experts have
relevant academic qualifications and are trained to the highest level and have considerable experience in both
CFD analysis and complex building physics problems

THERMAL BRIDGE

We are able to carry out thermal bridging calculations for new building to help achieve a better Emission Rate (DER or BER). and fabric energy efficiency FEE
re. It is a requirement that Thermal Bridging is formally calculated or default values have to be used in SAP which can make it much more difficult (and expensive) to comply with the new regulations

CFD COMFORT ANALYSIS

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling is a highly complex technique and is used in building performance simulation to calculate local air flow and temperature distribution of a defined environment. CFD
is increasingly used to evaluate and optimise the design as it allows the designer to predict the performance of the proposed strategy and refine the design as required.
